  • The Cake Boys are a live & digital entertainment collective featuring drag kings, musicians, and alternative queer artists.

We elevate underrepresented talent and introducing new audiences to varieties of drag not yet seen on television.

  • Although we’re living through a drag renaissance, spaces for drag kings are often few and far between compared to those for our drag queen counterparts. The brain child of drag kings Richard, Sweaty Eddie, Geminemesis, and Muscles Monty was officially birthed in December 2019. Goo goo gah gah.

Aptly named “The Bachelorex” after the romantic reality series, The Bachelor, our first show in January 2020 began our mission to create theatrical and immersive productions with an ensemble cast. Full of physical gags, storylines, and slapstick comedy - not your average weeknight at your local gay bar.

As the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic forced many drag performers onto digital platforms, The Cake Boys became a production team of animators, casting directors, cinematographers, and video editors.

Joined by established Brooklyn musician and GiantFest co-creator Senerio as a producer, we created The Cake Night Show: a digital variety show turned into an unhinged, perverted, and wildly gay alternative sketch show. Reveling in practical SFX, claymation, and surreal comedy, The Cake Night Show continues our mission to create a platform for local performers, community activism, and fart sound effects.

  • In our third year, The Cake Boys began gaining momentum: Seven Glam Award nominations, several NYC residencies, and the growth of a community.

    In 2022 , we produced:

    • A midtown weekly cabaret showcase brought on by Frankie Sharp and Marti Gould Cummings (The only weekly drag king show in NYC in over 30 years)

    • A Queens monthly brunch (The first drag king brunch in NYC)

    • A monthly open set lottery show at Club Cumming for new performers

    • A 5 week a drag king & thing competition bigger, baddier, and stickier than any drag competition you’ve seen before!

Each show provides a space for performers to share their art and their drag, prioritizing trans and non-binary drag kings and alternative performers - making sure every performer gets paid properly and treated with the utmost respect - what should always be the standard. How tasty.

  • The Cake Boys performer network has included over 100 artists over the past 5 years.

At the helm of our productions both on stage and behind the scenes are Muscles Monty, Richard, Senerio, and Sweaty Eddie.

    Check out our bios below!

  • Muscles Monty

Producer | Drag King | Host

Big brains and an even bigger butt

It’s Muscles Monty - the drag king and co-producer of the Cake Boys who loves to use his filthy humor to gas up a crowd. Talk about a potty mouth! As a child whose parents let him watch too much MTV and once convinced him that the Godfather was actually his family’s home videos (true story - THANKS FRANK), Muscles grew up to be an amorphous blob of pop culture references and influences including BUT NOT LIMITED TO - 70’s glam rock, John Waters, Pepto Bismal commercials, Return of the Living Dead, etc. etc. etc. - the likes of which can be seen at your local drag brunch. With a head and a gut full of too much, Muscles uses drag to foolishly interrogate the space between the binaries: the masculine versus the feminine, the glamorous versus the grotesque, the bodily emotions versus the bodily emissions.

Whether on the mic, in the crowd, or in anotherrrrr dimension, Muscles flexes every ounce of his huge…bulging.…throbbing….heart to promote equity and representation for all drag performers alike.

  • Richard

Producer | Drag King | Host | Graphics

He puts the ease in sleaze!

It's the cishet from your nightmare- Drag King and co producer of The Cake boy, Richard is all things terrifying and absurd about masculinity packaged in a pair of dollar store sneakers and a rhinestone suit. Drawing inspiration from vaudeville performers, male villains in media from the 90’s, and real life daily interactions with men , Richard embodies different male archetypes by combing shocking reveals, slapstick routines, ventriloquism, and physical comedy to take the audience on a journey all while taking off his pants.

Like all of the other producers, Richard wears many hats working with the Cake Boys with his main goal to create a platform that highlights other masculine drag performers and under-represented queer talent!

  • Senerio

Producer | Music Artist | DJ

    On the 1s and 2s…

It’s your favorite Fry Guy and unofficial spokesperson for Cafe Bustelo - music artist and co producer of The Cake Boys, Senerio has a wide range of musicality with a multidisciplinary profile. His style is ever changing and a constant wonder.

Currently known in the medium of rapper, Senerio is a self proclaimed creative entrepreneur who expresses delight in infinite creation. Born and raised from the fluctuating personas of South Florida, Senerio continues to push his message of radical love through art while residing in the concrete jungle.

  • Sweaty Eddie

Producer | Drag King | Animator

Seeping up through the floorboards . . .

It’s Sweaty Eddie, NYC’s infamous little flubber man with endless tricks up his ever-extending sleeves. With an uncanny ability to shock, delight, and disturb in one fell swoop, he’ll leave you feeling sensations you can’t quite put your finger on. From anthropomorphic food costumes to trick-of-the-eye body horror under layers of flamboyant tearaways, expect the unexpected when Sweaty takes the stage.

Under his animation alter ego Erma Fiend, Sweaty is known for creating mind-bending loops, otherworldly visual effects, and tactile claymation scenes as seen in Cake Boys digital productions such as The Cake Night Show opening title sequence.
